We are the St. Louis County Community Chorus. Our common bond is the love of music.

In 1976, desiring to sing more varied music, some church choir members arranged for a rehearsal hall, a director and an accompanist. Bravely they advertised for "anyone interested" to join. Sixty people from eleven St. Louis communities came to sing. In the decades since, the St. Louis County Community Chorus has performed throughout St. Louis: Fair St. Louis, Powell Hall, retirement centers, the Old Courthouse, corporate programs, plus teaming with the Compton Heights Band and the Kirkwood A.I.M Band. We honor our pledge to serve the entire community.

From the beginning our aim of excellence in choral music has guided us to a rich musical diversity. Now, contemporary and traditional, gospel and sacred, Broadway and show tunes comprise our repertoire.

Our goal is two-fold: the pleasure of singing and the joy of performing well. To achieve this standard the St. Louis County Community Chorus limits its performances to four or five engagements plus two sets of formal concerts per year.
